Abstract

This paper aims to articulate the groundless relation between “desire“ and “human existence“ by analyzing Plato’s conception of Eros. It was treated especially by Plato in some of his dialogues such as Lysis, Phaedrus and Symposium and it is possible to say that desire and it’s irrational nature which is about the origin is the main point for Plato’s ontology. In Plato’s corpus, desire as eros can be argued to have a creative function and there is an essential relation between dialogue form and eros in Plato’s thought. There is human being- with it’s divided and in-between trait- at the center of this relation. Human being belongs to different, divided worlds and because of this his existence is tob e qualified in terms of homelessness and strangeness

Abstract

Bu bildiride arzu ile insani varoluş arasındaki temelsiz ilişkinin Platon’da Eros kavramı aracılığıyla nasıl düşünülebileceği dile getirilmeye çalışılacaktır. Platon’un eros olarak düşündüğü arzu onun özellikle Lysis, Phaedrus ve Şölen’den oluşan erotik diyaloglarında gelişimsel bir biçimde ele alınır ve arzu ile onun kökene ilişkin usdışı doğasının Platon’un Varlık kavrayışında önemli bir yer tuttuğu söylenebilir. Eros, Platon’un yapıtlarının tümü için geçerli olduğu savlanabilecek yaratıcı bir ilke görünümündedir ve Platon’un düşüncesinde diyalog formuyla eros arasında temel bir ilişki vardır. Bu ilişkinin odağında parçalanmış ve arada-duran varoluşuyla insan bulunur. İnsan, farklı, ayrılmış dünyalara aittir ve bu yüzden de varoluşu kökensizliğin belirtisi olan bir yersiz-yurtsuzlukla ve yabancılıkla damgalanmıştır
