TÜKETİM TOPLUMUNDA EVCİL HAYVANLARIN SAHİPLENİLMESİ: SOSYOLOJİK BİR ANALİZ

Abstract

Günümüzde bireyler
kendilerini ifade ederken tüketim alışkanlıkları önemli ölçüde belirleyici
olmaktadır. Tüketimin kimlik oluşturmadaki rolü giderek artmakta ve bireyin anlaşılmasında
tüketimin öneminin belirlenmesine her zamankinden daha çok ihtiyaç
duyulmaktadır.



Bu
çalışmada evcil hayvan- insan arasındaki etkileşimin tüketim toplumundaki yeri
ve evcil hayvanların sahiplenilmesi ile tüketim arasındaki ilişkinin sosyolojik
olarak analiz edilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Evcil hayvanların sahiplenilmesi ve
bakım, beslenme gibi ihtiyaçlarının karşılanmasına yönelik eğilimin günümüzde
gittikçe artığı görülmektedir. Bu eğilimde çeşitli ihtiyaçlar ön plana
çıkarken, bu ihtiyaçların tüketimin rolü ve nedenleri ile olan ilişkisinin de
belirlenmesi önemli olmaktadır.
