Investigation of Women’s Health Behaviours According to Cultural Approach in Prenatal Period

Abstract

The purpose of the research, which is done with an Ethnonursing Research Method as an ethnographic approach, is to examine the health behavior of women, concerning prenatal period with a cultural approach, and to convey relations between health behavior and culture. In this study, purposeful sampling was used and a sampling group was formed by 19 pregnant women in total. In the study, all data were collected from “Information Forms” that have introductory information belongs to women and semiconfigured Interview Forms. All interviews with women were done face to face by using deeply interviewing technique. Differences between groups for perceiving of culture and transfer of culture, for perceptions subject and behavioral differences theme, cultural structures, behaviors, and attitudes and impact of these diversities on life and health of pregnant women were exposed
