Küreselleşme Yerine Küyerelleşme: Sosyolojik Bir Kavramın Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma küreselleşme kavramının evrimini ve değişimini, sosyoloji
disiplini ve küreselleşme olgusu arasındaki dolambaçlı ilişkiye vurgu yaparak
ele almaktadır. Çalışmada ayrıca, orjinali Japonya’da iş hayatına dair popüler
bir strateji olan “küyerelleşme” kavramının tarihçesi ve gelişimi de
incelenmektedir. Pittsburgh Üniversitesi’nde sosyoloji profesörü olan Roland
Robertson, Japon toplumunda oldukça değişim gösteren bu kavramı Batı
dünyasının sosyal bilim literatürüyle tanıştırmıştır. Bu çalışma, Japonlar’a ait bu
kavramın ve sosyolojik tartışmalardaki kullanımının köklerine inecektir. Çalışma
ayrıca sosyolojideki temel kavramları, teorileri ve paradigmaları da ele alacaktır.
Batı’nın sosyoloji ve sosyal bilimler tartışmalarında Singapur ve Malezya gibi
yerel kavramlardan türeyen sosyolojik kavramların uygulanması sorununa da
çalışma sırasında değinilecektir.
