Egzersiz Düzeyi, Bilinçli Farkındalık ve Ruh Sağlığı Sürekliliği: Üniversite Öğrencileri Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Year 2024, Volume: 2 Issue: 2, 1 - 13, 23.10.2024

Abstract

Exercise Level, Mindfulness and Mental Health Continuum: A Study on University Students

Year 2024, Volume: 2 Issue: 2, 1 - 13, 23.10.2024

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between exercise level, mindfulness and mental health in university students. The research group consisted of a total of 534 university students, 122 female and 412 male, aged 18-29 (M = 21.07, SD = 1.43). Personal information form, Mindful Awareness Scale and Mental Health Continuum Short Form were used as data collection tools. 24.0 (SPSS Inc. Chicago II. USA) was used to analyze the data. Q-Q Plot graph, histograms and skewness-kurtosis values were examined for the normality of the data. Since the data showed normal distribution, Pearson correlation analysis was applied to examine the relationship between exercise level, mindfulness and mental health continuity. According to the results of the analysis, there is a significant relationship between the number of days of exercise and conscious awareness, mental health continuity, social well-being and psychological well-being. On the other hand, it was determined that there was no significant relationship between the duration of exercise and mindfulness, mental health continuity and its sub-dimensions. As a result, it can be said that increasing the number of days of exercise has positive effects on conscious awareness, mental health continuity and psychological well-being.
