Sporda İletişim Literatürünün Bibliyometrik Analizi: Eğilimler, Ağlar ve Odak Alanlar

Abstract

Bu çalışma, sporda iletişim alanındaki akademik literatürü bibliyometrik analiz yöntemiyle incelemeyi amaçlamıştır. Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanından elde edilen 523 çalışmanın analizi, alanın temel dinamiklerini ve araştırma yönelimlerini ortaya koymuştur. Çalışma, özellikle sporda iletişim kavramına dair akademik literatürdeki boşlukları ve iş birliklerini belirlemeyi hedeflemiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, en yüksek atıf ve bağlantı gücüne sahip yazarlar arasında Collins ve Kontos öne çıkmakta, en etkili yayının ise Wijndaele ve arkadaşlarının çalışması olduğu görülmüştür. Journal of Sports Sciences ve Psychology of Sport and Exercise gibi dergiler, sporda iletişim literatüründe merkezi konumda yer alırken, ABD, İngiltere ve Avustralya gibi ülkeler bu alandaki en etkili araştırma merkezlerini oluşturmuştur. Ayrıca anahtar kelimeler analizi, sporda iletişim alanındaki literatürün multidisipliner yapısını ortaya koymuş ve anahtar temaların rehabilitasyon, performans, sağlık ve eğitim gibi önemli alanlara odaklandığını göstermiştir. Çalışma bu bulgular ışığında, sporda iletişim alanında gelecekte yapılacak araştırmalar için stratejik bir rehber sunmakta ve alanın gelişim süreçlerine katkı sağlamaktadır. Yapılan bibliyometrik analiz, alanın bilimsel katkılarının değerlendirilmesinde önemli bir rol oynamaktadır.

Bibliometric Analysis of Communication in Sport Literature: Trends, Networks and Focus Areas

Abstract

This study aims to examine the academic literature in the field of communication in sport through bibliometric analysis. The analysis of 523 studies obtained from the Web of Science (WoS) database revealed the main dynamics and research directions of the field. In particular, the study aimed to identify gaps and collaborations in the academic literature on the concept of communication in sport. According to the results of the study, Collins and Kontos stand out among the authors with the highest citation and linking power, while the most influential publication was the study by Wijndaele et al. While journals such as Journal of Sports Sciences and Psychology of Sport and Exercise have a central position in the communication in sport literature, countries such as the USA, the UK, and Australia have formed the most influential research centers in this field. In addition, the keyword analysis revealed the multidisciplinary nature of the literature on communication in sport and showed that key themes focused on important areas such as rehabilitation, performance, health, and education. In the light of these findings, the study provides a strategic guide for future research in the field of communication in sport and contributes to the development processes of the field. The bibliometric analysis plays an important role in evaluating the scientific contributions of the field.
