CERRAHİ HEMŞİRELERİNİN COVİD-19’A YÖNELİK DUYGU VE DÜŞÜNCELERİNİN ÇİZİMLE İFADESİ

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı cerrahi hemşirelerin Covid-19’a yönelik duygu ve düşüncelerinin çizimle ifade edilmesidir. Yöntem: Araştırmada nitel ve nicel araştırma yöntemlerinin birlikte kullanıldığı karma araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini özel bir hastanenin cerrahi servis, ameliyathane ve yoğun bakım servislerinde çalışan 160 hemşire oluşturmuştur. Örneklemi araştırmaya dahil olmayı kabul eden 144 hemşire oluşturmuştur. Hemşirelere sosyo-demografik özelliklerini belirlemeye yönelik 12 adet çoktan seçmeli ve Covid-19’a yönelik duygu ve düşüncelerini belirlemeye yönelik 2 adet açık uçlu soru sorulmuştur. Ayrıca hemşirelerden Covid-19 tanılı hastaya bakım vermenin kendileri için neyi ifade ettiğini belirtmeleri istenmiştir. Hemşirelerin yorumları betimsel analiz yöntemiyle yorumlanmıştır. Toplamda 34 adet çizim yorumlanmıştır. Çizimler tematik kategorilere ayrılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmada hemşirelerin %71.3’ünün kadın olduğu, hemşirelerin aile üyelerinde Covid-19 tedavisi görmüş olan %52.5 hemşirenin olduğu ve hemşirelerin %26.3’ünün ikinci derece yakın akrabalarının tedavi gördüğü, hemşirelerin aile üyelerinden %16.9’unun Covid-19 sebebiyle vefat ettiği ve vefat eden bireylerin %11,3’ünün ikinci derece yakın akrabalarının olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çizimlerde ise maske kullanımının hayatın bir parçası olduğunun farkındalığı görülmekte ayrıca ağız kısmındaki ifadeye bakıldığında bireylerin bu durumdan memnun olmadıkları görülmektedir. Genel olarak üzüntü, umutsuzluk ve karamsarlığın hakim olduğu görülmektedir. Sonuç: Yapılan araştırma sonucunda hemşireler; “mesleklerini büyük fedakârlık ve özveriyle, kutsal bir görev sayarak ve onur duyarak yerine getirdiklerini” ifade etmişlerdir. Bize düşen kıymetli hemşirelerimize duyduğumuz saygı ve takdiri gösterebilmek için kişisel ve mesleki alanda güven ihlalinde bulunmamaktır.

Drawing Expression of Surgical Nurse's Emotions and Thoughts about Covid-19

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this study is to express the feelings and thoughts of surgical nurses about Covid-19 with drawings.
Methods: Mixed research method, in which qualitative and quantitative research methods are used together, was used in the research. The universe of the research consisted of 160 nurses working in the surgical service, operating room and intensive-care units of a private hospital. The sample consisted of 144 nurses who agreed to participate in the study. Nurses were asked 12 multiple-choice questions to determine their socio-demographic characteristics and 2 open-ended questions to determine their perspectives on Covid-19. In addition, nurses were asked to indicate what it means to them to care for a patient diagnosed with Covid-19. The comments of the nurses were interpreted with the descriptive analysis method. In total, 34 drawings were interpreted.
Results: In the study, 71.3% of the nurses were women, 52.5% of the nurses' family members were treated with Covid-19, and 26.3% of the nurses' second-degree relatives were treated, 16.9% of the nurses' family members died due to Covid-19 and died. It was determined that 11.3% of the individuals who had second-degree relatives. Conclusion: As a result of the research, nurses; they stated that “we fulfilled our profession with great self-sacrifice and self-sacrifice, considering it a sacred duty and with honor.” To show the respect and appreciation to our precious nurses.
