ÇOCUKLUK ÇAĞI CİNSEL İSTİSMARININ BELİRTİLERİ, AÇIĞA ÇIKARILMASININ ÖNÜNDEKİ ENGELLER

Year 2023, Volume: 4 Issue: 3, 520 - 538, 31.12.2023

Abstract

SYMPTOMS OF CHILDHOOD SEXUAL ABUSE, OBSTACLES TO RELEASE

Year 2023, Volume: 4 Issue: 3, 520 - 538, 31.12.2023

Abstract

Child sexual abuse is a common problem in our country and in the world, characterized by complications that impair quality of life in the short and long term. Despite this prevalence, the cases of abuse in the current literature are the tip of the iceberg, and sexual abuse is deliberately or unknowingly concealed by children. As a result, it is thought that there are more cases of sexual abuse than is known. Concealing sexual assaults of the child; It prevents repeated exposure to the harmful effects of abuse and the development of necessary policies to prevent abuse, repair harm and punish the perpetrator. For this reason, knowing the physical, mental and behavioral symptoms of abuse and identifying the obstacles to the child's disclosure of abuse can help parents and healthcare professionals understand abuse. The aim of our study is to understand the symptoms of sexual abuse and to understand the obstacles to explaining sexual abuse to peers, families and official institutions.
