TURKISH AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY COMPETITIVENESS IN THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET: AN APPLICATION ON THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY

Abstract

In our age, automobile industry play a key role in economies of developed an even developing countries. A powerful automobile industry is one of the common aspects of industrilized countries. The main reason for automobile industry’s having such an importance is that it is in close relationship with other industries. The aoutomobile that was met with Turkish people for the first time in 1895, during Ottoman Empire, has developed significantly. As the world getting more global, Turkish aoutomobile industry has become the one of the distinguished automobile industries and has lately succeeded in becoming the top product of export. It became one of the important industries not only by contributing to Turkish economy but also by helping other industries grow bigger. In this study the competitiveness of Turkish automotive industry and automotive industry recognition through the European Union to determine.
