KNOWLEDGE AS A SOURCE OF SUSTAINABLE COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

Abstract

The aim of the study determining basic units (knowledge, organisational knowledge, innovation, sustainable competitive advantage) of transformation of knowledge which is accepted a source of sustainable competitive advantage to competitive advantage and organisational processes (organisational learning, knowledge management, innovation management) which effect the transformation, introducing relations between concepts and creating a model of knowledge which is leading competitive advantage. Results of review of the literature show that, knowledge obtained from the external environment becomes individual knowledge through the process of learning. Then knowledge of individuals constitutes organisational knowledge via organisational learning. Organizastional knowledge which is a valuable source of organization is managed by the organization’s objectives and provides input for innovation activities. Innovation is becoming a source of sustainable competitive advantage via innovation management.
