Abstract

In addition to the instability experienced in national and international markets as the global crisis due to problems encountered in micro-scale sector of the economy at the macro scale, according to changing market conditions, has revealed the need for restructuring. on the other hand, depending on the globalization process advances occurring in the country was dragged into a new quest. In this context, the competitiveness of national economy, especially at the sectoral level is gaining importance. In this studies of the Turkish agricultural sector competitiveness across the European Union countries with the help of Revealed Comparative Advantage index were analyzed. As a result of Turkey's fruit and vegetable sector, the sugar-honey trade, trade in sugar material with high competitiveness in trade of live animals, while the relatively low were found to be competitive.

TÜRK TARIMININ AVRUPA BİRLİĞİ ÜLKELERİ KARŞISINDAKİ SEKTÖREL REKABET GÜCÜ

Abstract

Ulusal ve uluslararası piyasalarda yaşanan istikrarsızlıkların yanı sıra global krizlere bağlı olarak karşılaşılan sorunlar mikro ölçekte sektörlerin makro ölçekte ise ekonomilerin değişen piyasa koşullarına göre yeniden yapılandırılması gereğini ortaya çıkarmıştır. Diğer taraftan küreselleşme sürecine bağlı olarak ülke ekonomilerine yönelik rekabet gücünün ortaya konması önem kazanmıştır. Bu çalışmada Türk tarım sektörünün Avrupa Birliği ülkeleri karşısındaki rekabet gücü Açıklanmış Karşılaştırmalı Üstünlükler indeksi yardımıyla ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda, Türkiye’nin meyve-sebze, şeker-bal ve şeker hammaddesi ürün grupları ticareti yüksek rekabet gücüne sahipken canlı hayvan ürün grubunda ise oldukça düşük rekabet gücüne sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
