Abstract

Nowadays, the most important development has been the explosion of international marketing activity on the Internet and the associated emergence of the global information superhighway. There are an estimated 1 billion individuals and organizations currently linked to the Net, with connectivity growing at an average of 10-15 per cent per month. The Internet presents a fundamentally different environment for international marketing and new paradigms will have to be developed to take account of internationalization processes in an electronic age. This paper examines the Internet’s impact on the study and practice of international marketing. Barriers (security, laws, cultur etc.) and solutions for international companies on the internet have been explaned. This paper also investigates marketing applications of SME and some multinational companies on the internet.
