Abstract

Starting in the early 1990s, countries have adopted inflation target regime due to new structure and change in economic preferences. Several problems appearing with the reasons and results of inflation target and have been argued in this essay. Particulary, the definition of inflation target, preconditions’ role for inflation target, the use of intermeditiary exchange rate and identifiying inflation target will be analyzed and then to discuss the applicability of this policy as a monetary policy strategy in development countries. In conclusion, some problems whether or not new fromework and changes that in economic prefences are useful for countries are tried to be find out.

ENFLASYON HEDEFLEME POLİTİKASI, UYGULAMALAR VE TÜRKİYE’DE UYGULANABİLİRLİĞİ

Abstract

1990’lı yıların başlarından itibaren, yeni yapılanmalar ve ekonomik tercih değişikliği ülkeleri enflasyon hedeflemesini uygulamaya yöneltmiştir. Bu çalışmada, enflasyon hedeflemesinin neden ve sonuçları ile ortaya çıkan birtakım sorunları tartışılmaktadır. Enflasyon hedeflemesinin istek, kararlılık ve sıkı takip gerektiren bir dizi para politikasının birlikte uygulanması ve takibi ile istenilen sonucu verebilecek bir politika olduğu son yıllardaki uygulamalardan elde edilmiş önemli bir sonuç olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Dolayısıyla enflasyon hedeflemesi uygulamasına dönük yeni yapılanmalar ve ekonomik tercih değişikliğinin ülkeler için faydalı bir strateji aracı olduğu görülmüştür.
