Abstract
In this article the concept of mobbing is introduced. Mobbing means harassing, ganging
up on someone, or psychologically terrorizing others at work. Although mobbing is a very old
phenomenon, it was not described and systematically researched until the early 1980s. The
article begins a definition of mobbing, several stages in the development of mobbing are
described, and causes and consequences of mobbing are discussed, and conclusions for prevention
and intervention are drawn.

Çalışmada “mobbing” kavramı ele alınmıştır. “Mobbing, ” taciz etme, birine karşı örgütlenerek saldırıya geçme ve örgüt içinde psikolojik terör uygulama olarak tanımlanmaktadır. “Mobbing, ” oldukça eski bir fenomen olmasına karşın, 1980’li yıllarda bilimsel olarak araştırılmaya başlanmıştır. Çalışmada kavram tanımlandıktan sonra, “mobbing” sürecinin aşamaları, sebep ve sonuçları ele alınmış, ayrıca “mobbing”i önlemek ve “mobbing”le başa çıkmak için yapılması gereken bir takım politikaların altı çizilmiştir.
