Abstract
In this study, it is examined to measure intellectual capital, being more important in
recent years, in tourism enterprises. Therefore, tourism enterprises trading in İstanbul
Stock Exchange are researched with an empirical point of view. Value Added Intellectual
Coefficient (VAIC) which is one of the methods of intellectual capital measurement is
used in this application. According to findings provided the study, tourism enterprises
trading in İstanbul Stock Exchange consider intellectual capital components important,
but it might be said the main component effecting their performance is still structural
capital.
TURİZM İŞLETMELERİNDE ENTELEKTÜEL SERMAYENİN ÖLÇÜLMESİ VE İMKB’DEKİ TURİZM ŞİRKETLERİNDE AMPİRİK BİR UYGULAMA
Abstract
Çalışmada turizm işletmelerinde, son yıllarda giderek önemi artan entelektüel sermayenin ölçümü incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla, araştırmada İMKB’de hisse senetleri işlem gören turizm şirketlerinde ampirik bir uygulama yapılmıştır. Uygulamada, bir entelektüel sermaye ölçüm yöntemi olan Entelektüel Katma Değer Katsayısı- VAIC (Value Added Intellectual Coefficient) kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen araştırma bulgularına göre, ülkemizde faaliyet gösteren ve hisse senetleri İMKB’de işlem gören turizm şirketlerinin entelektüel sermaye unsurlarına önem verdiği, ancak performanslarını etkileyen asıl unsurun hala yapısal sermaye olduğu söylenebilir.
