Bazı Patlıcan Anaçlarının Tuzluluk Stresi Koşullarındaki Gelişmelerinin Karşılaştırılması

Öz

Bu çalışmada, ticari patlıcan anaçlarından bazılarının tuz stresine karşı göstermiş olduğu tepkiler incelenmiştir. AGR-703, Vista-306, Köksal F1 ve Yula F1 anaçlarına ait tohumlar 2:1 oranında torf:perlit karışımı içeren viyollere ekilmiş, 2-3 gerçek yapraklı fideler besin çözeltisi içeren hidroponik sisteme alınmışlardır. Bitkiler 4-5 gerçek yapraklı aşamaya ulaştığında 100 mM NaCl uygulaması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Stres sonunda oluşan etkilerin ortaya konulabilmesi amacı ile bitkilerde 0-5 görsel skala değerlendirmesi, yeşil aksam yaş ve kuru ağırlığı, kök yaş ve kuru ağırlığı, kök-gövde uzunluğu, yaprak alanı, yeşil aksamda ve kökte Na, K, Ca ve Cl iyonlarının ve klorofilin miktarı, lipid peroksidasyonu düzeyi ve antioksidatif enzim aktiviteleri bakımından değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda Türkiye’de patlıcan anacı olarak kullanılan bazı ticari çeşitlerin tuz stresi karşısında farklı tepkiler gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Köksal F1 çeşidi, tuz stresine oldukça iyi düzeyde dayanım göstermiş, AGR-703 ve Yula F1 bu çeşitleri izlemiştir.

Comparison of Development of Some Eggplant Rootstock in the Salinity Stress Conditions

Abstract

In this study, it was performed in order to determine the differences of commercial eggplant- rootstocks for salt stress. Seeds of AGR703, Vista-306, Köksal F1 and Yula F1 were germinated in a mixture of peat:perlite of 2:1 ratio, 2-3 true leaf stages were grown in hydroponic culture. The 4-5 true leaf stages of eggplant seedlings were subjected to 100 mM NaCl. At the end of the study, eggplant seedlings were classified according to the severity of leaf damage symptoms by using a 0-5 symptoms scores. Fresh and dry shoot weight, fresh and dry root weight, leaf number, leaf area, shoot and root length; Na, K, Ca and Cl amounts of the shoot and root tissues; chlorophyll and MDA contents; SOD, CAT, APX and GR activities in the leaves were also determined. In conclusion, the eggplant rootstocks showed large variation in their response to salt tolerance. These results possibly suggest that Köksal F1 exhibit a better protection mechanism against oxidative damage by maintaining a higher inherited and induced activity of antioxidant enzymes than the plants of AGR-703 and Yula F1
