The Effects of Different Hormone Doses on Rooting of Blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum L.) Produced with Cuttings

Abstract

Recently, there has been a great attention on Blueberry fruit in Turkey. But, it needs more pratical and easier methods because of the high charges both in production and sales. The study was carried out in the greenhouse of Agriculture and Nature Faculty, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, Pazar, Rize between the years 2013-2015. 10 different blueberry type (Nordlan) were used and Spartan was stand out from the others. The different doses of IBA, IAA, and GA3 were tested on Spartan in the beginnig. After this the suitable dose were tested on the different types. The rooting ratio, root quality and the other features of the plants produced with cuttings were observed. The results shows that blueberry plants can be produced succesfully with cuttings by using suitable hormone dose
