Abstract

Bu yazı, Amerikalı kadın oyun yazarı Susan Glaspell’ın 1916 yılında yazdığı oyunu Trifles (Önemsiz Şeyler) hakkında, feminist edebiyat eleştirisine (Fransız postyapısalcı feminist eleştirinin teorisyenlerine ve kavramlarına) dayanan bir incelemedir. Önemsiz Şeyler’de, kocası tarafından evin içinde yalıtılan bir kadın olan Minnie ve onun tek arkadaşı kanaryası vardır. Kocası kuşu boğar. Minnie de tek arkadaşına bunu yapan kocasının boynuna ipi dolayarak öldürür. Bu kadın, hayatını reçelleriyle ve kırk yamadan yaptığı ahşap kulube desenli yorganlarıyla geçirir. Bu boş şeyler, erkekler için son derece önemsizdir. Ama kadınlar, arkalarına kadın hareketinin desteğini alarak gösterirler ki, bu önemsiz şeyler aslında çok önemlidir
