An Examination of Ramazan Tayfa Cartoon From Religion and Values Education Perspective

The development of technology and the widespread use of the internet have made it difficult for the individual to live an independent life. The positive and negative effects of media tools, which have been used since childhood, can be seen in many fields, especially in education. One of the ways of transferring positive and negative behaviors to children is cartoons. Children mostly learn by modelling, so cartoons, which are the most watched broadcasts in childhood, are also effective in the development of the child. In this study, Ramazan Tayfa cartoon, which is a local production and broadcast on TRT Çocuk, was evaluated in terms of religion and values education. In the study, thematic analysis and content analysis method, which are qualitative research methods, were used. All parts of the cartoon, which has thirty episodes, were watched and evaluated within the scope of the research. While analyzing the sections, the root values determined by the Ministry of National Education at the point of values education and the conditions determined after the literature study at the point of religious education were taken as basis. As a result of the research, it was observed that in the Ramadan Tayfa cartoon, the root values, the traditional motifs of the month of Ramadan and the elements of the Islamic religion were given a lot of space. However, it is difficult to say that religious rituals are handled intensely in the Ramadan Tayfa cartoon. It is possible to perceive this situation as a result of the concept of the cartoon. As a result, it can be said that Ramazan Tayfa cartoon plays an important role in terms of religion and values education.

Teknolojinin gelişimi ve internet kullanımın yaygınlaşması bireyin bunlardan bağımsız bir hayat sürmesini zorlaştırmıştır. Çocuk yaştan itibaren kullanılmaya başlanan medya araçlarının eğitim başta olmak üzere pek çok alanda olumlu ve olumsuz etkileri görülebilmektedir. Olumlu ve olumsuz davranışların çocuklara aktarma yollarından biri de çizgi filmlerdir. Çocuklar çoğunlukla model alarak öğrenmekte bu sebeple çocukluk döneminde en çok izlenen yayınlar olan çizgi filmler de çocuğun gelişiminde etkili olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada TRT Çocuk kanalında yayınlanan ve yerli bir yapım olan Ramazan Tayfa çizgi filmi, din ve değerler eğitimi açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden tematik analiz ve içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Otuz bölümü bulunan çizgi filmin bütün bölümleri araştırma kapsamında izlenilmiş ve değerlendirilmiştir. Bölümlerin analizi yapılırken değerler eğitimi noktasında Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’nın belirlemiş olduğu kök değerler, din eğitimi noktasında literatür çalışmasının akabinde belirlenen şartlar esas alınmıştır. Araştırma neticesinde Ramazan Tayfa çizgi filminde kök değerlere, Ramazan ayına dair geleneksel motiflere ve İslam dinine ait unsurlara fazlaca yer verildiği gözlemlenmiştir. Ancak Ramazan Tayfa çizgi filminde görsel olarak dini ritüellerin yoğun bir şekilde işlendiğini söylemek zordur. Bu durumu, çizgi filmin konseptinin bir sonucu olarak algılamak mümkündür. Netice itibariyle Ramazan Tayfa çizgi filminin din ve değerler eğitimi açısından önemli bir rol üstlendiği söylenebilir.
