DÜNYA BANKASI VE BİRLEŞMİŞ MİLLETLER'İN KALKINMA POLİTİKALARI VE BÖLGESEL KALKINMADA YENİ KAVRAMLAR

Abstract

Bu makale 'yoksulluk' kavramı ve yoksulluğun geleneksel ve küresel biçimlerini bölgeselkalkınma politikaları çerçevesinde tartışmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bölgesel kalkınma ve genelolarak kalkınma politikalarının Dünya Bankası (DB) ve Birleşmiş Milletler (BM) tarafındandile getirilme ve uygulanma pratikleri ele alınırken; yoksunluk ve yoksulluk kültürü gibikavramlar da, Türkiye'nin en geri kalmış bölgelerinden olan GüneydoğuAnadolu Bölgesi veProjesi (GAP) kapsamında tartışılacaktır

The New Concept of Regional Development and Development Politicts of World Bank and United Nations

Abstract

This paper is focusing to discuss on the concept of 'poverty' in traditional and the new form ofit as 'global; in the context of regional development politics.While World Bank (WB) and United Nations' (UN) development politics and practices, suchas poverty reduction and/or empowerment policies during development process is differeach other critically; not only as theorizing the politics but also to apply in any part of theworld such as South East Region of Turkey and SA Project. In this paper, the concept ofpoverty, deprivation and the culture of poverty etc. are discussed on this context
