In the study, the history of Antalya and the stages of development of the population of Antalya after the Republic are supported by the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) and information is provided about the social characteristics of the population. In the literature, there are few studies in which the population of Antalya is evaluated with up-to-date statistics and data. For this reason, it is thought that the research will provide richness and contribution to the literature. In the study, a study was conducted to evaluate the age, education, gender, educational status of the population, migration received by the provinces, the age of first marriage, marital status of the population, and the rate of jul divorce using data obtained from the Antalya TURKSTAT Regional Directorate. Although the research is a social research with qualitative characteristics, the data collection technique of the research is a document review technique. Document review is a technique that is often used in qualitative and social studies, as well as a technique for examining key concepts, expressions and concepts related to the subject of research. In the study, the data obtained through a petition from TURKSTAT were collected in a wholesale manner, systematically and analyzed descriptively. Descriptive analysis is a frequently preferred data analysis method in the field of qualitative social sciences. The descriptive analysis method, mixed with content analysis, can be expressed as a factual examination and summarization of the collected data, as well as content analysis. As a result of the research, it was understood that Antalya experiences a migration mobility and urbanization process based on tourism, and depending on tourism, individuals belonging to different ethnicities and cultures not only from abroad but also from abroad migrate to Antalya to live, work and receive education. As a result of the thaw that started from the countryside and the housing needs of individuals who migrated to Antalya from other cities cannot be met in a healthy way, distorted urbanization and slum structures have appeared in some parts of Antalya. The social structure and characteristics of the population of Antalya, such as age, education and gender, have changed with the migration both from Turkey and abroad.
