Abstract
Many people suffer from the addiction which has started to be called as the epidemic of the modern era. Both the description and treatment of addiction which has reached the level of epidemic encompasses many difficulties. Besides the difficulties, day by day many more addictions are being added to the existing ones. The number of things that one can be addicted to are quite a lot. Religion consists of various belief and worship-related ethical rules; beside these rules religion influences believing people’s lives, behaviour and the network of relationships. Therefore, there is a relationship between religion and addiction, mainly because of religion prohibits harmful behaviors. This relationship is examined by conducted by studies various researchers. Religiostiy and dependence studies in Turkey last quarter-century has been increasing. The porpuse of this study metolocigal analysis of studyes on religiosty and dependence between years 1998-2020 was carried out in Turkey. In this study, document analysis, one of the qualititive research methods, was chosen as the method of the research. In this study, document analysis was used as data collection method and data were obtained electronically, through the web pages of YÖK Tez Center, DergiPark Akademik and Google Scholar. Content analysis and descriptive analysis were used to eveluate the findings. Stuies was conducted as the Typ of the study, the year of the study, the method used in the study, the data callection technique used in the study, investigated typ of addicton in the study, the departmen in which the study was conducted, the journal published by the study, were examined. In the results of working; The type of studies carried out was the most articles, the most published was in 2019, the most addressed addiction was substance addiction, the most quantitative method was used in the studies, the sample types used in the studies were random and purposeful, and the studies were published in academic journals the most. And magazines are diverse and studies are conducted mostly in the Department of Psychology of Religion
