KORE CUMHURİYETİ (GÜNEY KORE) KENTLEŞME DENEYİMLERİ

Abstract

Kent de mekân gibi toplumsal bir üretimdir, fakat bu üretimin nasıl ve ne şekilde olduğu her daim önemli bir soru olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Kore toplumu da içinde bulunduğu politik, ekonomik ve sosyal şartlar gereğince hazırlanan ulusal bölgesel kalkınma planları doğrultusunda farklı dönemlerde farklı mekânsal pratiklere ve politikalara ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Kore kentleşmesinin mekânsal örüntüsünü araştırmak ve bunun altında yatan sosyo-ekonomik, politik ve mekânsal pratikleri anlamak bu makalenin en önemli amaçlarından birisidir. Bu bağlamda, kentleşme deneyimleri geleneksel topluma işaret eden hanedan dönemleri, kolonyal kentleşmenin yaşandığı Japon sömürge dönemi ve savaş sonrası ulusal kalkınma planları ile yön verilen kentleşme pratikleri tartışılacaktır. Bu konuyu ele almak çok geniş bir literatür taramasını zorunlu kılmakla beraber, makale Kore kentleşme deneyimlerinin genel karakteristiğini ortaya koymak ve kentleşme alanında derinlemesine analizler ve çalışmalar yapmak isteyenlere bu bağlamda yol göstermeyi amaçlamaktadır.
