Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

The Journal of Technical Sciences and Innovation (JTSI) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and scientific integrity throughout all stages of the editorial and publication process. The journal adheres to the principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) Best Practice Principles, and internationally accepted ethical publishing standards.

All editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of scientific merit, originality, methodological rigor, and relevance to the journal's scope, without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, institutional affiliation, or political or religious beliefs.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are expected to:

• Submit only original and unpublished work that is not under consideration elsewhere.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all research data and reported results.
• Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and duplicate publication.
• Obtain all necessary ethical approvals and permissions before conducting research involving humans, animals, or personal data.
• Properly acknowledge the work of others through appropriate citations.
• Disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest.
• Identify all sources of funding.
• Ensure that all listed authors have made substantial academic contributions to the study.
• Notify the Editor immediately if a significant error is discovered after publication.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

• Conducting a fair, objective, confidential, and timely editorial process.
• Selecting qualified independent reviewers according to their expertise.
• Ensuring that all manuscripts are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process.
• Protecting the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
• Preventing conflicts of interest during editorial decision-making.
• Taking appropriate action in cases of suspected ethical misconduct in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

• Evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and confidentially.
• Provide constructive, evidence-based, and timely reviews.
• Declare any conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment.
• Inform the editor of any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical concerns.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all manuscript information.

Research Ethics

Research involving human participants, animals, or personal data must comply with internationally accepted ethical standards and relevant institutional regulations. Where required, authors must provide the name of the ethics committee, approval number, and approval date within the manuscript.

Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before peer review. Manuscripts with unacceptable levels of similarity or evidence of plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or unethical conduct will be rejected. The journal generally expects a similarity index below 20%, although the final decision rests with the editorial board.

Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, institutional, professional, or personal relationships that could influence the objectivity of the publication process.

Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern

When necessary, the journal publishes corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern in accordance with the COPE Retraction Guidelines to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Publication Ethics Compliance

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that their work complies with the ethical standards and publication policies of the Journal of Technical Sciences and Innovation. Any allegation of research or publication misconduct will be investigated following COPE procedures and may result in rejection, retraction, or notification of the authors' institutions where appropriate.
