Within the scope of this study, Behlül Tokur's book Psychology of Religious Challenges has been examined. The author, who exam-ines the concept of being tested, which has a wide place in Islamic belief, on the basis of faith, evaluates this concept within the scope of its contribution to the process of adapting to having a disabled baby, which is of difficult experiences in families with a child with Down syndrome. It is aimed to give information to the reader by examining the book, which brings an important concept to the lit-erature of psychology of religion.
Bu çalışma kapsamında, Behlül Tokur’a ait İmtihan Psikolojisi adlı kitabı incelenmiştir. İslam inancında geniş yer tutan imtihan kavramını iman temelinde inceleyen yazar, bu kavramı down sendromlu çocuğa sahip ailelerde zorlu bir deneyim olan engelli bebeğe sahip olma sürecindeki uyuma katkısı kapsamında değerlendirmektedir. Din psikolojisi literatürüne önemli bir kavram kazandıran kitap incelenerek okuyucuya bilgi verme amaçlanmıştır.
