Abstract
r-PET fibers are basically derived from recycling PET bottle wastes. These fibers can be accepted as eco-friendly because of their
advantages and contributions to the reduction of energy and raw material costs. In this study, properties of the yarns produced by r-PET
fibers and their blends and their availability for textile industry were comparatively investigated. Tensile strength, elongation, evenness,
hairiness properties and IPI fault values of yarns spun using 9 different blend ratios were measured and their results were statistically
evaluated.
