Abstract

İslâm dininin Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’den sonra ikinci kaynağı olan Sünnet’in doğru anlaşılması ve günümüze taşınması hususunda sahâbî döneminden itibaren Müslümanlar çok gayret göstermişlerdir. Çünkü sünnet olmadan dinin anlaşılması ve doğru yaşanması çok da mümkün değildir. Üsve-i hasene olan Hz. Peygamber ‘i(s.a.v.) ahlaki yozlaşmanın arttığı ve değerlerin yok sayıldığı günümüze sunmak bütün insanlığın bu olumsuz şartlardan kurtulmasına yardımcı olacağı düşünülmektedir. Bundan dolayı Hz. Peygamber’i örnek model olarak bütün insanlığa sunarken onun yaptıklarının aynısını yapmak değil, yaptıklarının arka planını, sebep ve hikmetini anlayarak günümüz problem ve şartları doğrultusunda özüne sadık kalan bir bakış açısıyla yorumlamak son derece önemlidir. Onun sünnetini doğru bir şekilde günümüze taşımanın yolu, onun koyduğu kurallar çerçevesinde onun sünnetini doğru anlamak ve hayata taşınmaktan geçmektedir.

Abstract

Since the time of the Companions, Muslims have made great efforts to correctly understand, preserve, and appropriately transmit the Sunnah—the second source of Islam after the Qur’an—into modern times. Various methods have been developed in this regard. In particular, efforts were made to record the Sunnah and hadiths through writing or memorization, as understanding the religion, applying it to life, and practicing it correctly would not be possible without the Sunnah and hadiths. It is believed that presenting the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who is the uswa hasana (a beautiful example), to today's world—where moral decay is increasing, values are being ignored, and the hadiths and Sunnah entrusted to us are being abandoned—can help humanity escape these negative conditions. Therefore, when presenting the Prophet as a role model to all of humanity, it is not about merely replicating his actions, but rather understanding the background, reasons, and wisdom behind them, and interpreting them with a perspective that remains faithful to their essence, in light of today’s challenges and circumstances. The way to correctly carry his Sunnah into our time lies in understanding it accurately within the framework of the principles he established and applying it to our lives accordingly.
