Metin, yazar Friedrich Ch. Zauner'in "Dort oben im Walde bei diesen Leuten" adlı romanını çeşitli açılardan incelemektedir. Romanın başlığındaki "orada yukarıda ormanda bu insanların arasında" ifadesindeki dışlama düşüncesi, metin boyunca tekrarlanan bir leitmotif olarak öne sürülmektedir. Yazar, bu başlık aracılığıyla "biz ve onlar" ayrımını vurgulayarak okuyucuda merak uyandırmayı amaçlamaktadır. Eserde, şehirli polis memuru Obermann'ın bir cinayeti çözme çabası ve bu süreçte taşra hayatı ile yabancı işçi meselesiyle karşılaşması anlatılmaktadır. The concept of exclusion found in the title, "dort oben im Walde bei diesen Leuten" (up there in the woods among these people), is highlighted as a leitmotif that runs throughout the text. The author intends to emphasize the distinction between "us" and "them" through this title, thereby arousing the reader's curiosity.The work narrates the efforts of the urban police officer Obermann to solve a murder and his encounter with rural life as well as the issue of foreign workers during this process. In addition to the main plot, various problems are addressed, based on contrasts such as city-country and locals-foreigners.
