İnfluenza Aşısı Uygulamasının Üst Solunum Yolu İnfeksiyon Sıklığı, İşgücü Ve Maliyet Üzerine Etkisi

Abstract

İnfluenza aşı uygulaması, bu viral hastalığın ve ciddi komplikasyonlarının önlenmesinde başvurulan başlıcayöntemdir. Bu çalışmada Gülhane Askeri Tıp Akademisi GATA Sağlık Astsubay Hazırlama Okulu öğrencilerindeinfluenza aşı uygulamasının üst solunum yolu infeksiyonu ÜSYİ gelişimi üzerine etkinliğinin değerlendirilmesiamaçlanmıştır.Sağlık Astsubay Hazırlama Okulu’ndan toplam 814 öğrenci 2001 yılı Kasım ayında split influenza aşısı ileaşılanmış ve aşılama öncesi ile aşılama sonrası dönem karşılaştırmalı olarak irdelenmiştir. İncelenen iki dönemarasında; ÜSYİ sıklığı, istirahat alan kişi sayısı, toplam istirahat gün sayısı açısında istatistiksel olarak anlamlıfarklılık saptanmış ve aşılama sonrasında bu parametrelerde düzelme olduğu gözlenmiştir.Sonuç olarak; risk gruplarına uygun zamanda yapılan toplu influenza aşılamasının, hastalığın önlenmesindemaliyet-etkin bir yaklaşım olduğu kanısına varılmıştır

Effect Of Influenza Vaccination On Prevalance Of Upper Respiratory Tract Infection, Work Power And Costs

Abstract

Influenza vaccination is the principal method for prevention on this viral disease and its serious complications.In this study, we aimed to investigate the effect of influenza vaccination on the prevalance of upper respiratory tractinfection URTI , work power and costs.A total of 814 students from School of Medical Officers were vaccinated with a split influenza vaccine inNovember 2001. Both pre- and postvaccine periods were examined comparatively. Between the two periods examined; statistically significance was determined for the prevalance of URTI, the total number of students who hadbeen given rest and total rest term. Improvements in these parameters were observed in the postvaccine period.In conclusion, we decided that influenza vaccination applied to risk groups at convenient time is a cost-effective approach for influenza prevention
