Öz

“Purified Protein Derivative of Tuberculin” PPD Tüberkülin ; kültürde üretilmiş olan bir veya daha fazla Mycobacterium tuberculosis suşunun ısıtılarak parçalanması ile elde edilen, suda eriyen protein yapısındaki ürünlerden sağlanan bir preparattır. Bu preparat aynı tür mikroorganizma ile duyarlı hale getirilmiş bir konağa intradermal olarak verildiğinde gecikmiş tip aşırı duyarlılık reaksiyonu meydana getirmektedir 1 . PPD tüberkülin deri testi Mantoux testi tüberküloz enfeksiyonunu saptamak amacıyla bir asırdan fazla süredir kullanılan bir yöntemdir 2 .
