Hastane Ortamındaki Lavabo Musluklarının Ve Sıvı-Sabun Rezervuarlarının Mikrobiyal Kirliliklerinin Araştırılması

Öz

Bu çalışma, hastane infeksiyon kontrol çalışmalarına yol göstermesi için, hastane infeksiyonlarına kaynaklıkyapabileceği düşünülen lavabo muslukları ve sıvı sabun rezervuarlarının mikrobiyal kirliliklerinin incelenmesiamacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla, hastanemize bağlı dokuz yatak kapasiteli Çankaya Ek Binasında muayene ve doktor odaları, hemşire odası, laboratuvarlar, mutfak ve tuvaletlerindeki 44 musluk vanası ve 26 sıvı sabun rezervuarıincelenmiş olup toplam 70 sahadan, sabah ve akşam 08.00 ve 18.00 saatlerinde alınan örnekler % 5 koyun-kanlıagar ve EMB besiyerine ekilerek, 37°C ‘de bir gece inkübe edilmiştir. Yapılan incelemede musluk vanalarının sabah%75’inde, akşam %86’sında; sıvı sabun rezervuarlarının sabah %53’ünde, akşam %84’ünde bakteri ve/veya mayaüremesi olmuştur. Sonuçlar istatistiki olarak χ2ve McNemar testleriyle değerlendirilmiş, sabah ve akşam üremeleriarasındaki fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmuş; bakteriyolojik kirliliğin akşama doğru giderek arttığı saptanmıştır p

Microbial Contamınatıon Of Faucets And Liquid-Soap Reservoirs In Hospital Environment

Abstract

The aim of this study was to provide some information to the hospital infection control committee aboutmicrobial contamination of faucets and liquid soap reservoirs in the hospital environment, as possible sources fornosocomial infections. In the Çankaya Branch of our hospital, which contains nine beds, 44 faucets and 26 liquidsoap reservoirs in the examination chambers, doctors’ rooms, nurses’ room, laboratories, kitchen and toilets wereinvestigated. Totally 70 samples obtained twice a day at 08.00 and 18.00 by soaked swabs were cultured on 5%sheep blood and eosin methylen blue agars and incubated overnight at 37°C. Bacterial or yeast growth were positive in 75% of first samples and 86% of second samples obtained from sink faucets. These numbers were 53% and84% for the reservoirs, respectively. The results were evaluated statistically by use of χ2and McNemar tests onSPSS 9.05 software programme.
