Şanlıurfa Yöresi Sokak Köpeklerinde Toxoplazmosis, Leishmaniosis Ve Listeriosisin Seroprevalansı

Abstract

Amaç: Zoonoz hastalık etkenlerinden Toxoplasma gondii, Leishmania infantum ve Listeria monocytogenes'in bulaştırılmasında ve yayılmasında sokak köpeklerinin çok önemli rolü olduğu bilinmektedir. Çalışmamızda Şanlıurfa Belediyesi Hayvan Barınağında bulunan sokak köpeklerinde bu enfeksiyonların seroprevalansının araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem:Toxoplasmosis tanısı için SFDT, leishmaniasis için IFAT ve listeriosis için Osebold Aglutinasyon Testi uygulanmıştır. İstatistiksel değerlendirmede Ki-kare testinden yararlanılmıştır. Bulgular:80 köpek serumunun 78'inde %97.5 anti-T.gondii antikorları, 15'inde %18.75 L.monocytogenes seropozitifliği saptanmış, hiçbir örnekte L.infantum seropozitifliği bulunamamıştır. T.gondii seropozitifliğinin erkek köpeklerde %100, dişilerde %96.2 p=0.547 , 0- 2 yaş grubunda %100.00, 3-5 yaş grubunda %98.00 , 5 yaş üstünde % 93.75 olduğu belirlenmiştir p= 0.518 . L.monocytogenes seropozitifliğinin dişi köpeklerde %20.75 , erkek köpeklere %14.81 nazaran daha yüksek olduğu saptanmış p=0.730 ; ayrıca 3-5 yaş grubundaki köpeklerde listeriosis pozitifliğinin %11.76 , 0-2 yaş %23.07 ve 5 yaş üstündeki %37.50 gruplara göre daha düşük olduğu belirlenmiştir p=0.060 . Hem toxoplasmosis hem de listeriosis enfeksiyonlarında yaş ve cinsiyet açısından istatistiki olarak önemli bir fark bulunamamıştır p>0.05 Sonuç:Şanlıurfa yöresindeki köpeklerde T.gondii ve L.monocytogenes seropozitifliğinin yüksek bulunması, veteriner ve insan halk sağlığı yönünden önemli olup, gerekli tedbirler alınmalıdır

Seroprevalance of Toxoplasmosis, Leishmaniosis and Listeriosis in Stray Dogs in the Province of Sanliurfa, Turkey

Abstract

Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the seroprevalance of Toxoplasma gondii, Leishmania infantum and Listeria monocytogenes in stray dogs in Şanlıurfa. Methods: The Sabin-Feldman Dye Test SFDT , Indirect Fluorescence Antibody Test IFAT and Osebold Agglutination Test OAT tests were used. Results:Out of 80 dogs examined, 97.5% were seropositive for T. gondii and 18.7% for L. monocytogenes. Non of the serum samples was positive for L. infantum. The seroprevalance for T. gondii was 100% in male dogs and 96.2% in female dogs p=0.547 . The seropositivity for T. gondii was 100%, 98% and 93.75% p= 0.518 in the 0-2, 3-5 and over 5 age groups, respectively. The seroprevalance for L. monocytogenes was 14.8% in male and 20.8% in female dogs p=0.730 . The seropositivity for L. monocytogenes, was 23.1%, 11.8% and 37.50% p=0.060 in 0- 2, 3-5, over 5 years-old animals, respectively Consclusion:The high seroprevalence of T. gondii and L. monocytogenes in stray dog in the province of Sanliurfa indicates that these diseases might be very important in the region.
