DETERMINANTS OF LOGISTICS IN ENHANCED ECONOMIES

Abstract

Conceptually logistics provides transitivity between production and consumption. Particularly since it helps to set up back and forth connections in terms of production, it is known that it significantly contributes. Therefore, it is obvious that as well logistics contributes to production indirectly; it also affects Gross Domestic Product GDP rates and the prosperity of countries as it involves productive activity through its own direct activities. The logistics which affects development and also to be affected by development is mostly determined by microeconomic factors. In this study macroeconomic determinants of the logistic index which are constituted by micro factors have been investigated. Mutual causality relationships between GDP values which are taken as the basis of development of countries and logistics are modeled particularly in terms of Human Development Index HDI . In this context, while logistics is considered to be the dependent variable, HDI and openness are used as the independent variables

Abstract

Kavramsal olarak lojistik, üretim ve tüketim arasındaki geçişkenliği sağlamaktadır. Burada özellikle üretim açısından kendi arasında ileri-geri bağlantılar kurmasına yardımcı olması nedeniyle önemli katkılarda bulunduğu da bilinmektedir. Dolayısıyla lojistiğin üretime yaptığı dolaylı katkılarının yanı sıra doğrudan kendi faaliyetleri yoluyla üretsel faaliyette bulunması nedeniyle ülkelerin Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hasıla GSYİH değerlerine ve kalkınmışlığına etkide bulunduğu açıktır. Kalkınmışlığı hem etkileyen hem de kalkınmışlıktan etkilenen lojistik ise daha çok mikroekonomik unsurlarca belirlenmektedir. Bu çalışmada mikro unsurlarca oluşturulan lojistik endeksinin makroekonomik belirleyicileri inceleme konusu yapılmıştır. Ülkelerin gelişmişliğinin temeli olarak alınan GSYİH değerleri ile lojistik arasında karşılıklı nedensellik ilişkileri özellikle İnsani Gelişmişlik Endeksi HDI boyutunda modellenmiştir. Bu çerçevede lojistik bağımlı değişken olarak alınmış; bağımsız değişkenler olarak ise HDI ve açıklık kullanılmıştır
