COVID-19 pandemisinin odyolojik servislere yönelik etkileri ve tele-odyoloji

Year 2021, Volume: 4 Issue: 1, 1 - 10, 30.04.2021

Abstract

Amaç: Çalışmanın amacı koronavirüs hastalığı 2019 (COVID-19) pandemisinin odyolojik hizmet veren servislere etkilerinin araştırılmasıdır.
Yöntem: Türkiye genelinde odyoloji alanında çalışan 177 sağlık profesyoneline (87 odyolog, 66 odyometrist, 19 uzman odyolog, 5 doktor odyolog) Google Forms aracılığıyla soru formu uygulanmıştır. Soru formu; katılımcı hakkında genel bilgiler, COVID-19’a bağlı olarak değişen koşullar ve iş performansı, COVID-19 salgınına karşı koruyucu önlemler ve tele-odyoloji alt başlıklarından oluşmaktadır.
Bulgular: COVID-19’la beraber odyoloji servislerinde hizmet edilen hasta sayısında anlamlı azalma olduğu bulunmuştur (p=0.000). Verilen hizmetler sırasında katılımcıların %42,3'ü siperlik kullandığını, %60,4'ü eldiven kullandığını, %94,9'u ellerini düzenli dezenfekte ettiğini belirtmiştir. Gerekli alt yapıların sağlanması ve diğer kısıtlılıkların giderilmesi halinde hastalara çevrimiçi hizmet vermeyi düşünen katılımcıların oranı %57,8 olarak tespit edilmiştir.
Sonuç: COVID-19’a bağlı olarak odyoloji hizmetlerinin dikkate değer derecede etkilendiği gözlenmiştir. Sosyal mesafe ve maske kullanımıyla ortaya çıkan hasta ve klinisyen arasındaki iletişim sorunları dikkati çekmiştir. COVID-19 pandemisinin de etkisiyle tele-odyoloji giderek yaygınlaşan ve önem kazanan bir alan olarak öne çıkmaktadır.
