Glutatyon S-transferaz enzimleri polimorfizminin küçük hücreli akciğer kanserindeki rolü

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmada, KHAK (Küçük hücreli akciğer kanseri) gelişmesinde glutatyon S-transferaz (GST); GSTM1, GSTT1 ve GSTP1) polimorfizmlerinin rolünü Türk popülasyonunda araştırmayı amaçladık. Çalışmada, GST geninin üç farklı genetik varyantı için akciğer kanserine duyarlılığı değiştirmedeki rolünü değerlendirdik.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya Atatürk Göğüs Hastalıkları ve Göğüs Cerrahisi Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesinde KHAK tanısı konulan 28 hasta dahil edildi ve çalışma lokal etik komitesi tarafından onaylandı. GST polimorfizmleri, hastalardan alınan kan örneklerinde çalışıldı.
Bulgular: Küçük hücreli akciğer kanseri tanısı almış hastalarda, GST’nin M1, T1 ve P1 alt gruplarındaki pozitiflik oranları arasında anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur.
Sonuç: GSTM1 genotipi taşıyan bireylerde akciğer kanseri riskinin arttığı söylenebilir.
