Turkish Journal of Medicine and Health Sciences

The Turkish Journal of Medicine and Health Sciences (TJMHS) is an international, peer-
reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality scholarly work
in the fields of medicine and health sciences. The journal aims to contribute to the global
health literature by disseminating original research, clinical and experimental studies, reviews,
case reports, and multidisciplinary studies conducted in Türkiye and around the world.
The journal provides an academic platform for researchers, clinicians, health professionals,
and scholars working across a broad range of medical and health-related disciplines. Its
publication scope includes, but is not limited to, medical sciences, dentistry, pharmacy,
physiotherapy and rehabilitation, nutrition and dietetics, midwifery, nursing, health
management, health economics, health psychology, health tourism, health technologies,
molecular biology, drug development and animal studies that may provide guidance for
human health.
TJMHS publishes manuscripts in both English and Turkish. The journal welcomes
qualitative and quantitative original research articles, current reviews, case reports,
multidisciplinary studies, and notes to the editor. All submissions are evaluated in accordance
with scientific quality, ethical integrity, methodological rigor, originality, and relevance to the
journal’s scope.
The journal is published electronically three times a year, in April, August, and December.
It operates as an open-access journal and provides immediate access to its published content
in order to support the free circulation of scientific knowledge. The journal does not charge
authors any submission or publication fees.
TJMHS follows internationally recognized standards for responsible scholarly publishing.
The journal supports the principles and recommendations of the International Committee of
Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the World
Association of Medical Editors (WAME), the Declaration of Helsinki, and relevant reporting
guidelines such as CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, ARRIVE, SPIRIT, STARD, SRQR,
TREND, STREGA, and SAGER.
All submitted manuscripts are subject to editorial screening, similarity/plagiarism control, and
double-blind peer review. Studies involving human participants, medical records, human
biological materials, or animals must include appropriate ethics committee approval and
informed consent statements where applicable. Authors are also expected to submit the
required declarations regarding authorship, conflicts of interest, financial disclosure,
copyright, and ethical compliance.
Published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-
NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). Scientific, ethical, and legal
responsibility for published work rests with the author(s).
