Abstract
Bilinen Türk tarihi boyunca Türk adı verilen büyük gruplarda değişmeyen, görece sabit kalan grup davranışlarına “Türk grup davranışı” adını veriyoruz. Türk grup davranışının birçok alanda bulunabilecek olan örneklerinden birisi de toplumsal cinsiyet rolleridir.Bilinen Türk tarihi boyunca, Türk büyük grup davranışında, kadın-erkek ilişkilerinin diğer alanlarında tarihsel ve toplumsal değişime paralel olarak birçok değişiklikler görülmekle birlikte, toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri neredeyse hiç değişmemektedir. Türkler, Göktürklerden bu yana ekzogamik-anaerkil çok eski zamanlardaki toplum yapısının izlerini her zaman korumuş, bu nedenle kadına çok önem veren kendine özgü bir pederşahiliğe, katı bir namus anlayışına dayanan, tek-eşli bir toplumsal cinsiyet örüntüsünü grup davranışı olarak benimsemişlerdir.
Abstract
Unchanged and relatively constant behaviors of large social groups named as Turks throughout the Turkish history, are described being ‘Turkish group behavior.’ The gender role in Turkish group behavior is one of the good samples found in most be-havioral habits.Although men-women relations, in many respects, in greater Turkish group, have been changed according to the needs and social changes throughout the history, how-ever, the essence of the role of the gender in the society remained unchallengeable. The Turks since the Göktürks have always retained the heritage of exogamic-matriarchal type of social order of the old times. Therefore, Turkish type of patriarchal system, which requires high degree of chastity and prefers monogamy, gives high status to the women.
