Abstract
Abdülhak Hâmid'in şiir ve piyeslerinde Osmanlı tarihi ile ilgili pek çok malzeme vardır. Osmanlı'nın kuruluşundan yıkılışına kadar geçen süredeki bazı tarihî durum, şahıs ve olayları yorumlar. Murad Hüdâvendigâr, Yıldırım Bayezid, Fatih, Selim, Kanunî gbi padişahların icraatinden söz eder. XIX. ve XX. yüzyıldaki Osmanlı savaşlarını akset-tiren şiirler yazar. Hâmid; Osmanlı tarihine, özellikle kuruluş ve yükseliş dönemlerine "yüceltme" ile bakar. Bozgun yıllarındaki şanlı maziden örnekler vererek bir telafi mekanizması yaratır.
Abstract
In the poems and plays of Abdülhak Hâmid, the famous Ottoman poet, a great amount of material related to the Ottoman history were noticed. He commented on certain historical events, figures and cases of the Ottoman history. Hâmid wrote about the practices of the Ottoman rulers such as Murad II, Bayezid I, Mehmed the Conqueror, Selim I and Suleiman the Magnificent and wrote poems reflecting the Ottoman wars took place in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. He idealized certain periods of the Ottoman achievements, especially those of the rise and the golden days of the state. Regarding the declining times, he created a mechanism of compensation by giving samples from the glorious past of the Ottomans.
