Abstract
Divan edebiyatı ya da Klâsik Türk Edebiyatı diye adlandırılan Osmanlı Edebiyatında, Osmanlı toplumunun örf, âdet ve inançlarına dair izler vardır. Diğer milletlerin şairlerinde görüldüğü gibi Osmanlı şairleri de aşklarını, fikirlerini, hayallerini dile getirirken yaşadıkları toplumun örf, âdet, gelenek ve inançlarından istifade ederek şiirlerinde onlardan örnekler sunmuşlardır. Bu çalışmada, sultanların kendi adlarına hutbe okutmaları, cülûslarında bahşiş dağıtmaları ve sikke kestirmeleri gibi hükümranlık alâmetleriyle alâkalı âdetler; sarığa çiçek takılması, kölelerin kulaklarına küpe takması, kadın köle veya hizmetçilerin isimlerinin bir çiçek adıyla değiştirilmesi, habercilerin yanlarında ok taşımaları gibi halk âdetlerinden bazılarına temas edilerek Osmanlı dönemi Türk kültürünün ortaya çıkarılması için divan şiirinin önemine dikat çekilmeye çalışılmıştır
Abstract
here exist the traces of customs and believes of the Ottoman society in the Ottoman literature which sometimes called eighter Divan or Classic literature. Ottoman poets just like poets of different nations portray examples of their society's customs and believes as much as they apply to them when they utter their loves, thoughts, and images. In this study, it is endeavoured to bring out the importance of Divan poetry by pointing out some customs of the society. Some of them are the signs of sovereignty like Sultan's preach on his name, coining money, giving away money as Sultan ascents the throne. On the other hand, some of them are the folk traditions and customs such as attaching a flower to the turban, slaves wearing earings, switching name of female slaves and maids with names of flowers, postman carrying an arrow along with him.
