Abstract
değişmeyen davranış örüntülerini tanımlayabilmek için ileri sürülmüş bir kavramdır. Bugüne kadar beşerî bilimlerde “kültür ve kişilik”, “ulusal karak-ter” gibi başlıklar altında incelenmeye çalışılan konu, psikolojik açıdan bakıl-dığında “büyük grupların ortak davranışı”dır. Bilim dünyasındaki iş bölü-münün bir yan etkisi olarak, tarihsel psikoloji ve grup psikoterapisi beşerî bilimlere yeterince yansıyamadığından, büyük grupların davranışları bilimsel incelemeden uzak kalmıştır.Bu yazıda grup psikoterapisinin bir kavramı olan “grup davranışı”nın ta-rihsel psikolojide kullanışlı olup olmadığı ele alınacak, Türk adı verilen büyük gruplarda tarih boyunca aynı kalmış davranış özellikleri olup olmadığını anlayabilmenin yöntem sorunları tartışılacaktır.
Abstract
‘Turkish group behavior’ refers for unchanged behavioral habits of large social groups who were historically named the ‘Turk.’ The topic, generally, used to be discussed in ‘culture and personality’ and ‘national character’ researches. However, in psychological point of view, the topic shall be considered as ‘common behaviors of large social groups.’ As a side effect of the divisions of the science according to the interest areas, the importance of historical psychology and group psychotherapy was not represented enough in social sciences. Therefore, researches regarding behaviors of large social groups remained premature interest area.This paper aims to scrutinize whether ‘group behavior’, as a part of group psychotherapy, can be placed in historical psychology and it also argues the systematic problems that whether the behaviors of large social groups called as ‘Turks’ were remained same throughout the history.
