Warthin Tumor: Case Report

Abstract

Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common form of benign tumors of the parotid gland. The second most common benign tumor is Warthin tumor. Warthin’s tumors commonly present as an asymptomatic, slowly growing mass usually affecting male in the 5th and 6th decade. Fine needle aspiration biopsy, ultrasonography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging methods are used for the diagnosis. Treatment of the warthin tumor is surgical. Warthin Tümörü: Olgu Sunumu

Öz

Parotis bezi benign tümörlerinin en sık rastlanan formu “pleomorfik adenom”dur. En sık rastlanan ikinci benign tümörü ise Warthin tümörüdür. Warthin tümörü; genelde 5. ve 6. dekaddaki erkeklerde asemptomatik yavaş büyüyen kitle lezyonu olarak ortaya çıkar. Tanısında, ince iğne aspirasyon biyopsisi, ultrasonografi, bilgisayarlı tomografi ve manyetik rezonans görüntüleme yöntemleri kullanılmaktadır. Tedavisi cerrahidir. Biz bu yazımızda kliniğimize her iki taraf kulak altında şişlik şikâyetiyle başvuran ve Warthin tümörü tanısı alan olguyu tartışmayı amaçladık.
