The aim of this research is to examine the sports commitment levels of taekwondo athletes in terms of national sportsmanship and various demographic variables.Composed of national taekwondo athletes and non-national taekwondo athletes, 218 athletes including 100 women and 118 men, aged 13 to 27, with a sporting experience of 1 years and over 10 years participated in this research.In order to measure the level of participants' commitment to sport, the “Sport Engagement Scale (SES)” developed by Guillen and Martinez Alvarado (2014) and adapted in Turkish by Sırgancı, Ilgar and Cihan (2019) was used.The SES consists of 15 items in 5-point Likert type and 3 sub-dimensions (fitness, commitment, internalization). SPSS 23.0 package program was used in the analysis of the data.By looking at the normality distribution of the data, it was determined that the values of skewness and kurtosis were in the range of -1.5 to +1.5; Independent Samples T-Test was used for paired comparison between groups and One-Way Anova test for multiple comparisons.As a result of the research; It was determined that there was a significant difference in the mean score of the 'Internalization' sub-dimension according to the educational status of the participants, and the mean score of the 'Commitment' sub-dimension according to the sports age variable (p <0.05).There is no significant difference between the commitment sub-dimensions according to the age and income variables of the participants. In addition, no significant difference was found in the sub-dimensions of the commitment scale according to the gender and nationality variables of the participants (p> 0.05).
