Pituitary gland abnormalities of the hypothalamo hypophyseal axis during childhood are frequently associated with pituitary deficiency We present a 5 year old boy with growth retardation with the diagnosis hypoplasia of hypophysis and the nbsp; presentation of ectopic neurohypophysis without any anterior pituitary hormone deficiency Magnetic resonance imaging is the modality to study the anatomical details of the pituitary hypothalamic region and the relationship between the visibility of the pituitary stalk and anterior pituitary function in growth hormone deficient children showing ectopic neurohypophysis nbsp; Turk Arch Ped 2007; 42: 80 1
