Abstract

Delayed diagnosis of hypertension due to right renal hypoplasia: a case reportHypertension is an important risk factor which plays a role in cardiovascular and renal morbidity In this case report a patient who had consulted to primary secondary and tertiary health institutes with various complaints until the age of 12 years is presented One month previously she had developed redness in the eyes worsening in vision and was headaches and was misdiagnosed as neuroretinitis at a medical faculty Finally the diagnosis of hypertension due to right renal hypoplasia was made in our clinic The aim of this case report is to emphasize that measuring blood pressure is a part of physical examination to review the algorithm of hypertension diagnosis Key words: endovascular nephrectomy hypertension renal angiography renal hypoplasia

Abstract

Hipertansiyon kardiyovasküler ve renal morbiditeye katkıda bulunan önemli bir risk faktörüdür Bu çalışmada oniki yaşına kadar çeşitli nedenlerle birinci ikinci ve üçüncü basamak sağlık kuruluşlarına başvuran ve bir ay önce gözlerde kızarıklık görme netliğinde azalma ve başağrısı yakınmaları ile gittiği bir tıp fakültesinin göz kliniğinde nöroretinit tanısı konan sağ renal hipoplaziye bağlı gecikmiş tanılı bir hipertansiyon olgusu sunuldu Sunumun amacı kan basıncı ölçümünün çocuklarda rutin fizik muayenenin bir parçası olduğunu vurgulamak ve hipertansiyon tanı algoritmasını gözden geçirmektir Anahtar Kelimeler: endovasküler nefrektomi hipertansiyon renal anjiyografi renal hipoplazi
