Abstract

Bu çalışmada steroide duyarlı nefrotik sendromlu SSNS çocuklarda konjuge haemophilus influenzae tip b Hib aşısının etkisi değerlendirilmiştir Aşı sonrası koruyucu antikor düzeyi gt;1 mg L sağlanan olguların oranı SSNS 22 24 ve kontrol grubu 15 19 arasında anlamlı olarak farklı değildi SSNS lu olgulardan günaşırı steroid tedavisinde olanlar 12 14 ile steroid kullanmayanlar 10 10 arasında anlamlı fark saptanmadı Bu bulgular konjuge Hib aşısının SSNS lu çocuklarda koruyucu antikor yapımını sağladığı ve günarışı steroid kullanan hastalara uygulandığında da etkili olduğunu göstermektedir Anahtar kelimeler: Haemophilus influenzae tip b immunizasyon nefrotik sendrom kortikosteroidler

Conjugated Hemophilus influenzae type B vaccine is effective in steroid sensitive nephrotic children

Abstract

In this study we aimed to evaluate the natural anti Hib antibody response and to assess the efficacy of conjugated Haemophilus influenzae type b Hib vaccine in steroid sensitive nephrotic syndrome SSNS patients The ratio of children with post vaccinal protective antibody levels gt;1 mg L was neither significantly different between SSNS 22 in 24 and control groups 15 in 19 nor between SSNS on alternate prednisolon therapy 12 in 14 and steroid non users 10 in 10 These findings suggest that the conjugated Hib vaccine elicits protective antibody response in SSNS and is also effective in patients on alternate day steroid therapy Key words: Hemophilus Influenzae type b immunization nephrotic syndrome corticosteroids
