Cardiac abnormalities are the most frequent congenital malformations 7 These malformations have three clinical signs in neonatal period 1 Persistent cyanosis without any other signs: for these neonates chest X ray pulmonary vascularisation and cardio thoracic index and ECG are generaly sufficient in differential diagnosis; 2 Cardiac insufficiency: some cardiac abnormalities may present sudden cardiac insufficiency signs after a period of some hours or some days; 3 a cardiac murmur abolished femoral pulses or cardiac rhytme abnormalities may be the only presenting signs of a cardiac abnormality Prognosis depends on rapidity of the diagnosis and referal of the neonate to specialized centers Key words: Neonate Cardiology Diagnosis
