Abstract
The diagnostic approach in childhood anemias starts with careful history taking The clinical differential diagnosis will be based on the child s age This is followed by evaluation of the red cell morphology namely hypochromia normochromia and microcytosis normocytosis or macrocytosis In order to make a correct diagnosis it is essential to have a reliable laboratory evaluation and to know the normal physiologic blood parameters according to age Key words: nbsp;Diagnosis Anemia Childhood
