Abstract
The response of homozygotic patient and her heterozygotic mother with familial hypercholesterolaemia to low cholesterol diet and antilipidemic drug therapy is studied and familial hypercholesterolaemia is reviewed Homozygotic patient treated with triple antilipidemic drugs and low cholesterol diet did not show a significant response but heterozygotic mother showed a significant decrease in cholesterol level after treatment with a single antilipidemic drug lovastatin and low cholesterolaemic diet Key words: Hypercholesterolaemia
