Bu makalede Portekizli Korsan F. M.
Pinto'nun Çin'deki Ruslar hakkında kalem aldığı notların tarihi etütleri ele
alınmaktadır. Portekizli mezkûr korsan hakkında araştırma yapanlardan birisi
olan V. N. Skalon, onun notlarını “herkesçe bilinen, fakat bütünüyle gün yüzüne
çıkarılmamış” diye tanımlıyordu. Makalede, F. M. Pinto'nun yaşadığı maceralar
sırasında karşılaştığı Ruslar hakkında verdiği bilgileri içeren "seyahat"
bölümlerinin çevirileri yapılmıştır. Ayrıca E. V. Bretşneyder, G. E.
Grum-Grjimaylo, D. A. Klements, F. Ya. Kon, İ. İ. Serebrennikov, V. N. Skalon,

The article
studies the history of the study of the message of the Portuguese pirate F.M.
Pinto about Russians in China. “Well-known, but not completely unraveled” -
this was how the message of the Portuguese was described by one of his first
researchers, V. N. Skalon. The article
provides translations of fragments of "Peregrinação" containing
information about the Russians who met the pirate during his adventures. Different points of view of historians are
compared (E.V. Bretschneider, G.E. Grum-Grshimailo, D.A. Klements, F. Ya. Kon,
I.I.Serebrennikov, V.N. Skalon, Sh. B. Chimitdorzhiev ), explaining the
possibility of how Russian ambassadors, merchants, or prisoners could have
ended up in China on the eve of the great exploration of Siberia by explorers.
In conclusion, a version is proposed that, according
to the author, adequately explains the possibility of a meeting. This opinion
was expressed by the emigrant publicist I. I. Serebrennikov, but was
subsequently distorted in the works of V. V. Schebenkov. The mention made by
F.M. Pinto that the Russian people arrived in China in the retinue of the Tatar
feudal lord has been causing controversy in academic circles for a century and
a half. Indeed, it is difficult to imagine that a state whose borders were far
in the West and have not yet crossed the Ural Range, sends an expedition to the
mysterious Celestial Empire. The question of the origin of the aforementioned
Russian people and the place where this meeting could have taken place in China
or, according to other versions, in Siberia (Tuva) is investigated in the
paper. The researcher draws attention to the fact that it is not correct to
completely refuse this source of truth, supposedly this story is an invention
of the old pirate or Jesuits edited the text of the “Peregrinação” after his
death.
