Bilateral inverted papilloma originating from the frontal sinus

Abstract

Inverted papilloma is a benign neoplasm characterized by its high rate of recurrence, local aggressiveness, and malignancy potential. Nasal obstruction is the most frequent presenting complaint. Bilateral inverted papillom involving both sides of the frontal sinus is extremely rare. Herein, we present a 64-year-old male case with a bilateral inverted papilloma involving the frontal sinus which was removed by an endoscopic surgery.

Abstract

İnverted papillom, yüksek nüks oranı, lokal agresiflik ve malignite potasiyeli ile karakterize benign bir tümördür. En sık başvuru yakınması burun tıkanıklığıdır. İki taraflı frontal sinüsü tutan inverted papillom son derece nadirdir. Bu makalede, iki taraflı frontal sinüsü tutan inverted papillomu olan ve endoskopik cerrahi ile çıkarılan 64 yaşında bir erkek olgu sunuldu
